It is an ambitious but necessary project that is currently underway on our estate, the construction of a new building of 700m2, to adjust the capacity of the estate to the vineyards. The work will consist of expanding the existing winery to add a 1500 hl vat room. In addition, a new cellar will be built to double the capacity of the barrel aging.
The project also includes the construction of a two-story tower. The first floor will be used for private premises and an adjoining office. The second floor will house a tasting room with a breathtaking view of the estate’s vineyards.
This new building will be a major asset for the Crès Ricards estate, allowing to answer to the growing of its wines. With the increased production capacity, the estate will be able to continue to offer high quality wines while meeting the needs of the market.
Since Jean-Claude Mas acquired the estate in 2010, the vineyard has expanded significantly. Back then, it consisted of only 25 hectares of vineyards. Today it covers 40 hectares, with an additional 5 hectares left unplanted or under plantation. This expansion has allowed the estate to produce a greater quantity of grapes and wine, as well as to diversify the number of grape varieties. It has also allowed the winery to meet the growing consumer need for higher quality wines.
The construction of this new building is also a demonstration of the winery’s commitment to always produce greater quality, by investing in modern equipment to vinify and age the wines. The tasting tower will also be lieu to welcome for our guests, offering a unique and memorable experience.
This new 700m2 building on the Crès Ricards estate is a testament to the estate’s commitment to quality and excellence, as well as its desire to meet market challenges. We are looking forward to its opening. Our customers will soon be able to discover the exceptional wines of the Crès Ricards estate in a pleasant atmosphere conducive to tasting.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
